Awards Ceremony - June 8, 2024

Congratulations to all our ECO Champions award winners.  The judges were excited to see how much our participants learned about local species-at-risk.  Medal winners included:  Coral, Charlotte, Marigold, Ocean, Olive, and Rita.

Special Recognition prizes went to the members of the  Merrickville Beavers/Cubs/Scouts for their turtle platform build project.

Mayor Cameron and Deputy Mayor Barr and Lions Club President Susan Wilkes were on hand to present the awards, along with judge & MC Andrea Howard.  Thank you to the Merrickville Lions Club championing the ECO-Champions Contest as one of their projects, and especially Lions Ian Ross and Vic Weatherall for taking leadership roles on the steering committee.
